My Documentary Approach

Documentary photography is often misunderstood as simply “candid.”

For me, it’s more intentional than that. I observe before I act. I anticipate rather than interrupt. I compose with care, but never at the expense of authenticity. I don’t build your day around photos. I move within your day - capturing the subtle exchanges, the gestures no one else notices, the shift in light as afternoon becomes evening.

The result is imagery that feels effortless, but deeply considered.

Most of the wedding day, you won’t even notice I’m there. During portraits, I guide gently and naturally - no rigid posing, no pressure to perform. The goal is not to create something dramatic. It’s to create something real.
